2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information exclusively for:
- Creating and personalizing content using AI
- Scheduling, managing, and publishing posts you request
- Connecting your selected social accounts and displaying the publishing destinations available to you
- Publishing content to connected platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook Pages, and Instagram professional accounts
- Synchronizing social posts when you request it
- Processing and contextualizing your audio anecdotes
- Providing customer support, improving the platform, preventing abuse, and maintaining service security
3. Facebook and Instagram Platform Data
If you connect Facebook or Instagram to YALG, we may access and store the data needed to provide the publishing features you use. This can include Facebook Page identifiers, Page names, Page access tokens, Instagram professional account identifiers, granted permissions, media containers, publishing results, and error messages returned by Meta APIs.
YALG uses Meta platform data only to authenticate your connection, show available publishing destinations, publish or schedule content you create or approve, troubleshoot publication failures, and provide support. We do not sell Meta platform data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
You can disconnect Facebook or Instagram from YALG at any time from your YALG settings or by revoking YALG access in your Meta account settings.
4. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to third parties except:
- With your explicit consent
- To connected social platforms when you ask YALG to publish, schedule, import, or synchronize content

- Object to processing based on legitimate interests
7. Data Retention
We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide our services or as required by law:
- Account data: Until account deletion
- Connected platform tokens: Until you disconnect the platform, revoke access, or delete your account
- Social posts: Until you remove them or delete your account
- Audio anecdotes: Until you delete them or your account
- Usage logs: 12 months maximum
8. Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your YALG account data, connected platform tokens, imported content, drafts, generated content, and uploaded media by contacting us at hello@yalg.ai. You can also review our data deletion instructions at /data-deletion.
Disconnecting a platform removes the stored access token for that platform from YALG. It does not automatically delete content that has already been published on the external platform; you can manage published content directly on that platform.
